Scholarship Program

MindCare New Brunswick is pleased to offer ten (10) scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000 to New Brunswick students. Applicants will be, or intend to be in full-time attendance at a program recognized by the Board of Directors of MindCare New Brunswick at a post-secondary institution with plans to pursue a career in the health services field.

Scholarship Categories:

  1. Four (4) $1,000.00 scholarships to grade 12 studentswho are enrolled in a full-time program at a post-secondary institution recognized by the MindCare Committee, and planning to pursue a career in the health services field. One of the four scholarships, known as the Abe Calp Scholarship, will be given to the son, daughter or child in the care of an employee of the Mental Health Services Division of the New Brunswick Department of Health & Community Services or the Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation.
  2. Two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships to studentswho are entering their secondary year in a full-time program at a post-secondary institution recognized by theMindCare Committee, and planning to pursue a career in the health services field.
  3. Two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships to studentswho are entering their third year in a full-time program at a post-secondary institution recognized by theMindCare Committee,and planning to pursue a career in the health services field.
  4. Two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships to studentswho are entering their fourth year in a full-time program at a post secondary institution recognized by the MindCare Committee, and planning to pursue a career in the health services field.
Guidelines:

While the following circumstances are not necessarily restrictive, they will be taken into consideration for each applicant:

  • Academic ability
  • Plans for continued education
  • Community and school participation
  • Plans for the future
  • Need of financial assistance
The decision of the members of the MindCare Committee shall be final.
